CC Johndrow was born and raised in Texas, where books were never just stories—they were lifelines. As a child, she kept a book in every room: one in the car, one in the bathroom, one at the dinner table (when Mom allowed it). Childhood favorites like Bridge to Terabithia and Island of the Blue Dolphins shaped her love for stories that blend heartbreak, wonder, and truth.
Her first big writing project came in middle school—a fictional planet complete with its own culture and atmosphere. In high school, a teacher published one of her poems, and a lifelong love for writing was officially lit.
For years, she dreamed of writing a novel. Her grandmother often told her, “You better write a book and dedicate it to me.” Though she passed before CC ever published one, her first book—Beautiful & Terrible Things—was not only dedicated to her, but the main character carries her name.
CC is now the author of five self-published novels spanning psychological thrillers, emotional fiction, and dark fantasy. Her stories explore grief, obsession, identity, and the complicated beauty of human connection.
She writes with the support of a large, loving family—including her mother and mother-in-law, who help proofread, and her husband, her biggest cheerleader and sounding board. She’s a proud mama bear to three grown children and counts every moment with them as a gift.
Whether she’s exploring shadowy mysteries or building magical worlds, CC Johndrow writes fiction meant to haunt, heal, and hold you.
